Thanks for stopping by! I'm a graduate student using my passion for art and research to create interactive, immersive, and inclusive spaces.

Here’s some of my work:

UX Research & Design

This project was done in collaboration with Mathworks, under Arpit Mathur and Joe Geiger.

With the aim to reimagine the assignment creation workflow on MATLAB, we conduct contextual inquiries and interviews with Georgia Tech professors, and ultimately design prototypes of an efficient GUI for assignment creation on MATLAB.

Assignment Creation on MathWorks

UX Research UX Design User Testing

With the aim to enable social integration of immigrants to the United States, we design an app called ‘Gravitate’ that provides both practical and emotional support to immigrants. We conduct research through quantitative and qualitative methods like surveys and interviews, we devise a set of user needs, and ultimately design a hi-fi prototype.

Research

The aim of this research is to design for an often ignored user group when it comes to health technologies - women. We conduct a literature review, interviews and participatory design workshops with women, and ultimately outline a set of design recommendations for a fitness tracker that fits the nuances of the female body.

This research has been done with Sushmita Vavilala, under Dr. Pushpendra Singh. It has been published as a poster in India HCI 2022.

User Research Participatory Design

This project was done in collaboration with Google, at INsite Lab, UC Irvine, under Dr. Stacy Branham.

We do a qualitative study of the experiences of blind people with image alt-text, conduct a co-design workshop with blind academics, and ultimately outline a set of guidelines for images and alt-text in academic publications. Submitted as a pictorial to DIS ‘23.

Gathering data from over 500 survey responses to map 5 basic emotions to multiple fonts and colors, I build an ETT (Emotion-to-Typography) model. This model detects the user’s emotions through live webcam feed, and generates dynamic typography based on the user's emotional input.
